Every thought of that day sets my heart racing
Bring a rain cloud over the head
Think you are on the same page as mine
Now I will just remember all the good times

The promise that I thought was real
Now like a blurry polaroid picture
Something that seems to have been tarnished
Can I turn this into gold again?

I hate that this truth is so loud
Reverberate throughout my tangled mind
It scares me to even whisper about it

Couldn’t bring myself to play the playlist on my phone
Every song that talks on your behalf is too personal
It doesn’t make the task easy
Figuring out how to cope in a better way

The scene I’m living through the night
I want to go back to day one
Why does this phase pass by so fast?
The hope of forever has faded
Time dulls memory
Hoping that I can blame you for this

Thank you for reading!
