You rule my head
I have a whole week off, but I think of you instead
Make me bend the protocol and take a little risk
Got me deep inside how I like to feel

No confusion or feelings
No pleasure or fear
Nothing like the way you’ve painted in my mind

No voice or sight
No fire or glow
That ever made me feel the way you did within me

Bright amber sparked into a bigger flame
Turned the heart a passionate shade of red
Rich timbre whispered my name like it was sacred
A reminder of what I could never forget

You, who conquered me with neither sword nor throne
I am but a prisoner of yours

Thank you for reading!
