Rainy afternoons, coffee-scented memories,
Deceiving the reticence inside of me.
I love the sweatshirt that you wear,
It suits you perfectly, yet I hold back, silent in the air.

Lost in music, a rhythmic nod, your joy overflows.
I hear your sweet melody, but my smile betrays me.
Moonlight casts a serene glow for your company, surrounded by friends,
Your giggle contagious, while my heart’s wild peace never ends.

I long to share that space beside you,
To bask in your radiant and gentle gaze.
Oh, to rest beside you there,
Sharing laughter without restraint.

Then our eyes meet, hearts beat a little faster,
Amber sparks weave a bond, soft yet bright.
Souls silently entwine, emotions collide,
In the quiet, our feelings can’t hide.

Your silence says everything,
Leaving me paralyzed, unsure of what it may bring.
Don’t you ever dream of walking side by side?
What’s stopping our love from taking this ride?

Or dare I ask, is it already gone?
Leaving me with longing, a haunting song.

Thank you for reading!
